For the recommended POC controller, select the standard **ESP32-S3-ETH, SKU 28972**, with Ethernet board only. Camera and PoE accessories are not required by the current configuration. Allow a separate budget for interface circuitry, RTC, acquisition, power supplies, connectors, and USB host hardware.

The industrial 8DI/8DO board has isolated digital inputs, Darlington outputs, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, RTC and microSD support. Its outputs are not relay dry contacts. The standard ESP32-S3-ETH pin plan in this project must not be applied to it.

## Earlier alternative display comparison

The user chose the RP2350 display after comparing it with the ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-7B. Archived Indian prices for the 7B were ₹4,799 including GST at [Hubtronics](https://hubtronics.in/esp32-s3-touch-lcd-7B) and ₹4,929 including tax at [OLE Electronics](https://www.olelectronics.com/product/waveshare-esp32-s3-7-inch-1024x600-touch-display-development-board-type-b/); both were out of stock in the earlier checks.
